Recently, Pivotte was invited to speak at Findspark’s “Find & Follow Your Passion Fashion Career Conference” and it was a great experience!
Our panel, “Trend Setters: Startups That Are Changing the Industry” was moderated by Julia Capalino, Founder of Pinch Parties and included Bram Frankel, President, William Abraham and Tiffany Ullian, Co-Founder & CEO, Fashion Curated. We hope our feedback was helpful to attendees. We know that insight from other founders was valuable for us, and audience questions challenged us to think about the brand in new ways.
Julia shared insights about productivity and discussed how she used social media, like Facebook, to pose marketing questions. It was a creative, and budget-friendly way to do marketing research. Tiffany’s feedback about seeking investment is something that we will definitely keep in mind as we move forward with the brand. She mentioned the importance of having “skin in the game” and the polish and research needed to establish a brand in a way that an investor would take it seriously. And Bram talked about authenticity and staying true to your brand’s values. He knew that sourcing the best fabrics and manufacturing was central to his luxury brand and he persevered for years until he found exactly what he wanted.
The event connected us to the startup and fashion communities, which was very motivating. We’re so lucky to have been a part of this and we thank FindSpark for pulling it all together!
